What the browser picker is

Hold Option (⌥) while you click a link, and a small panel appears under the pointer. That panel is the browser picker. Pick a browser or profile, and the link opens there. The picker is on by default.

The link you clicked sits at the top. Below it is one entry for each installed browser. A browser with more than one profile shows one entry per profile instead. The profile name is the label, and the browser name sits under it.

The last row is Bypass Bouncer, with “Open without rules” under it. It opens the link in your fallback browser with no rule applied. See Bypass Bouncer for one link.

You can hide the link line, move the Bypass Bouncer row, or switch to a grid. See Customize the browser picker layout.

A pick is for one click only

The browser you pick applies to that link and nothing else. Bouncer does not create a rule from it. The next link you click goes through your rules as usual.

If you want a link to open there every time, make a rule. The fastest way is Create a rule from the menu bar.

Where a pick shows up

Bouncer writes the pick to Activity, with no rule name. Bouncer also remembers your last 5 picks. The Most Recent sort in the layout editor uses that list.
