Turn on Prefer native apps

Prefer native apps is off by default. Turn it on to send links for services like Zoom, Figma, and Slack to their desktop app.

  1. Open Settings > General.
  2. Turn on Prefer native apps. The row sits above Launch at Login.

What changes

Section titled “What changes”

Bouncer keeps a built-in list of apps and the kinds of links each one can open. With the setting on, a link on that list opens in the native app instead of a browser. The app must be installed. If it is not, the link goes to a browser as usual.

With the setting off

Nothing on the built-in list is used. Every link goes to a browser, unless one of your own rules sends it to an app. To do that, see Route any link to any app.
