General settings
Settings > General holds the browser, email, browser picker, native app, and login controls. The rows appear in this order.

Help text
Section titled “Help text”Most rows show one line of help text under the control. The strings are:
- Default Browser: “Your default browser needs to be set to Bouncer in order to capture and route links.”
- Fallback Browser: “Bouncer will open links with this browser when no rules match link url.”
- Email Handler: “Set to Bouncer to intercept mailto: links and route them to the correct email client.”
- Fallback Email: “Bouncer will send mailto: links to this client when no rules match.”
- Open in: has no help text.
- Browser Picker: “Hold modifier keys while clicking any link to choose which browser opens it.”
- Prefer native apps “Links to services like Zoom, Figma, and Slack will open in their desktop app instead of a browser. Learn more” The last two words are a link to this help site.
- Launch at Login “Bouncer will still work if not launched at login, but may take a moment to open.”
