Choose a fallback browser

The fallback browser opens every link that no rule matches. Until you change it, it is the browser that was your default before you installed Bouncer. If there was none, it is Safari.

  1. Open Settings > General.
  2. Choose a browser under Fallback Browser:.
  3. If a second menu appears next to it, choose a profile, or leave Any Profile. For Arc the first item is Any Space.

The help text under the row reads “Bouncer will open links with this browser when no rules match link url.”

The profile menu appears only when Bouncer has found profiles for that browser. If you expect profiles and see no menu, check the browser in Settings > Browsers. See How profile discovery works.

Any Profile is the default. It means Bouncer does not pick a profile. When you choose a different browser, the profile goes back to Any Profile.

The row is dimmed until Bouncer is your default browser. Bouncer also uses the fallback browser while routing is paused, and for Bypass Bouncer in the browser picker.
