Grant Accessibility

Bouncer needs Accessibility permission for Safari profiles, Dia profiles, and workspace rules. You grant it once in System Settings.

Bouncer offers a button in three places. Each one opens the same list in System Settings.

• In onboarding, on the Enable permissions for profile support in … step, click Enable Accessibility.
• In Settings > Browsers, with Safari, Arc, or Dia selected, click Open Accessibility Settings under Enable Accessibility.
• In the rule editor, a banner reads “Accessibility permission is off. Bouncer can’t detect which workspace a link came from until you turn it on.” Click Grant Accessibility… on that banner.

1. Click the button for where you are.
2. macOS opens System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility.
3. Turn on Bouncer in the list.
4. Switch back to Bouncer.

Bouncer notices the grant on its own. You don’t need to restart Bouncer. Onboarding shows Accessibility permission set and a Set up Safari, Set up Arc, or Set up Dia button for each installed browser. In Settings > Browsers, the Enable Automation step is no longer dimmed. In the rule editor, the banner goes away.

Note

If Bouncer is not in the list, click + under the list and choose Bouncer from your Applications folder. You can also drag Bouncer from the Applications folder into the list.
