The first link after launch is slow

macOS checks a browser’s signature the first time Bouncer opens that browser after launch. That check can take a few seconds. The links after it open at normal speed.

Bouncer warms this check in the background for Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Vivaldi. It does this at launch and then every 20 minutes. So most of the time, even the first link is fast.

When to worry

One slow link after launch is normal. There is nothing to fix.

If every link is slow, something else is wrong. Send a bug report and say which browser the links open in. See Send feedback.
